The Need For Space
When two
people are in love, they are inseparable. All they want to do is to be
together, spend every living moment in each other’s company. Well, that
what we all believe how a perfect romance should be like. But lately
experts in relationships say that overdose of anything are unhealthy.
The extra closeness can lead to clinging to your partner and the
results are damaging than strengthening it.
The
intentions maybe good but it is not seen so. They are termed as being
bossy and controlling. Here are some tips to help you understand how to
give your partner space.
1) Allowing Him To Be With His Friends:
He likes your company but he also wants to spend time with his friends
maybe watch a game on TV with a couple of drinks. Excuse yourself and go
out with your friends or indulge in some beauty therapy. Don’t stay
with him and his friends. Spending quality time in a relationship is
essential but allowing the person the freedom to be himself is also
crucial.
2) Avoid Extreme Behavior:
If one of the partners asks for space, avoid getting defiant and ignore
the person completely. It would really be nice if the partner asking
for space helps the other person understand the needs for space.
Sometimes, the need for space indicates that the couple is on the verge
of a break-up. So it best to clarify your standing in a relationship.
3) Controlling The Guilt Trip:
Expecting your partner to give up on activities because giving up on
yours is not a good idea. Both of you should enjoy doing the things what
you like without becoming over bearing on one another.
4) Emotional Distance:
If you are a sort of a person that needs to text message your partner,
or email him several times a day to tell him silly things then rest
assured soon you will be annoying him. Give him time to work, relax and
be himself at work. You don’t have to keep reminding him that you too
are in love.
5) Self Reliance:
The need to be loved or to be acknowledged exists on all of us. Having a
partner is wonderful but depending on him for everything is not very
healthy for your own personal growth. Learn to handle things on your own
without having to ask him or consult him all the time.
6) Trustworthy:
One of the main reasons people fall out of love when the trust is
betrayed. The relationship blossoms in trust so give him a chance to
explain himself when you are in doubt. Too much questioning all the time
can jeopardize the bond.
7) Rejection Blues:
It does happen that your partner is too busy in work and hasn’t been
able to spend quality time with you. The insecurities may give you ideas
of rejection. Instead moping around and thinking of the worst, it is
best that you discuss the situation and get reassured.
8) Test Of Love:
Sometimes going away for the weekend alone or visiting your family away
from your city is a good way to understand your love for each other.
You both will miss each other and understand the need and special place
you have in each other’s life. It will make your hearts grow fonder and
when you reunite; the essence of love will be deeply rooted in your
hearts.
The
need for space gives the relationship a breathing space. This break
will give you a chance to understand what went wrong. Your relationship
will re-start on a healthier note when you both get together again.
Things always happen for the best, so never lose hope.
